Reviewing Yvonne Long, Owner & Photographer of Photography by Yvonne
The Ring's staff selected Photography by Yvonne to review for several reasons. We loved this young woman from the moment we sat in her home studio amidst a wall-sized Monet print, comfy decor and endless examples of photos. She is married, has two children, a big smile and an eye for finding beauty where you wouldn't think to look. Yvonne has been a wedding photographer for thirteen years and it's no wonder why. Her flair for the artistic side of photography allows her to take amazing shots, specializing in unique photo effects, and take great candid photographs - which is not easy. Yvonne is a pro at all methods of capturing your perfect day, but what we like most about her, is that when you go through her work, you can see that each time she shoots a wedding... click for more

Reviewing Jennifer O'Neil, Owner & Photographer at Blue Iris Photography
Several years ago, staff at The Ring had our first interview Blue Iris Photography Owner, Jennifer O'Neil. Within five minutes, we knew we loved her and her work. Within three hours, we knew we didn't want to leave the coffee table we sat around, which was overflowing with albums and prints of past Blue Iris weddings. Sitting in Jenn's office with her, we were impressed with every photo that we saw. It was obvious then, and it's obvious to The Ring every time we see Jenn, that she loves weddings and capturing special moments in pictures. "I'm in a great place in my life right now. I love my job. I get to be creative," she told us. "I make great connections with people. Many of my brides become my friends... click for more

Interviewing Erwin Loewen, of Erwin Loewen Photography
Erwin Loewen was an artist long before he ever became a photographer. Years were spent as a pencil sketch artist learning to capture the shape, form and fall of light on his first subjects: horses and beautiful women. Since learning the art of photography, he has managed to transfer his artistic vision and skill to the camera lens. If you've ever browsed Erwin Loewen's web site or albums, you'll see that his work is a production of gorgeous wedding photos, each one seeming to show close attention to detail and a strong influence from the fashion industry. He describes his approach as "less traditional and more spontaneous in nature with a candid and photojournalistic feel." Over the years, Erwin has acquired a reputation for photography that has brides looking like super... click for more
For Eric Rockburn, it's not just a wedding album, it's your true life story Interviewing Eric Rockburn, of Eric Rockburn Photography
It's rare to find a husband and wife who not only love to be together, but also love to work together. Eric Rockburn's success is hinged not only on his dual diplomas in graphic design and photography, his lifelong exposure to art and photography specifically, but also on the woman he married and works weddings side-by-side with. Crystal and Eric create contemporary digital images for their clients, work to provide you with more than you'd expect to receive, and present it all in a professional, custom designed album. "When you look through your wedding album, we want you to feel like you are re-living your own true story," says... click for more
Custom Concept uses photojournalism to cover a lifetime of memories from all the best angles Reviewing Trish Roberts, Owner of Custom Concept Photography & Framing
Meeting with Trish Roberts to interview and review her wedding photography was both delightful and inspiring. This owner of Custom Concept Photography & Framing comes highly recommended, to say the least, with local experts being among the first to admit this girl's got talent. From the beginning, we knew that Trish was an incredible wedding photographer. But to take that further, she showed herself to be artistic, personable, and an obvious romantic at heart. Knowing just what angles to shoot from, how to catch the moments that matter to you - the intimate, classic, romantic and joyous ones - in a collection of photos, Trish sat down with the staff at The Ring... click for more

Interviewing Bassem Wahba, Owner and Photographer of GK Photography
Bassem Wahba, Owner of GK Photography, is a self-taught and obviously talented photographer with more than enough wedding stories to keep him busy shooting engagement sessions and wedding days in both local and exotic locations. He seems to have a never-ending supply of energy and inspiration, which probably explains the equally large supply of devoted couples who all have something great to say about GK. "As much as I am part of my couples' lives on their biggest event, they are a part of mine. Each of my couples knows that they get my... click for more

For over twenty-nine years, the well-known Abela Photography name has been built on capturing the emotional, romantic and significant moments of London wedding days. When Scott McQuarrie, Owner and Photographer of re:action photography, delivers your wedding albums he wants you to be able to look at those images and step back into your wedding day to remember what happened, how you looked, and what you felt in those moments. Reviewing Carolyn Pongracz, In Bloom Photography
When we met Carolyn Pongracz, owner of In Bloom Photography, we could tell by her infectious smile and the enthusiasm she has when talking about photography, that she truly loves her job – and it shows in her work. One of the best features of In Bloom Photography is that Carolyn doesn’t have pre-set packages – she allows couples to put together their own customized package; plus, she works on an hourly basis and offers unlimited shooting locations throughout Southern Ontario (with no travel fees!). And that’s just the beginning. But it’s not just Carolyn’s amazing packages and reasonable prices that has brides from Brantford to London raving about In Bloom; it’s also her easy... click for more |
