Comprehensive approach at Brookside allows London brides all the options in one intimate location

When you choose Brookside Banquet Centre for your reception hall, you are choosing a fully decorated, beautiful hall and the confidence of offering your guests some of the best catering available in London today. At Brookside, it isn't just about providing you with beautiful space, it's about helping you with your food, your flowers, your music, and your wedding... "We cater to space and all of the elements of a dream wedding that go inside it."

Having personally attended several functions at this local wedding reception option, The Ring jumped at the chance to interview and review the Brookside Banquet Hall.

Personally speaking...

Since Brookside Banquet Centre opened their doors they have worked closely with Culinary Catering to offer everything a London bride could want in a wedding day location. They host, plan and style local weddings each year.

The staff and management of Brookside use their years of experience to make it their personal mission to provide 'unfailing quality and undeniable style'. They work together to not only present high-quality, delicious food, but also an attractive, intimate atmosphere. In order to achieve this, they focus on attention to all the little and big details, and creative presentation of food, table... click for full review

Online store with personality offers favours, gifts and décor in a local, service-driven package

Wedding favours come in all shapes and sizes but when you're the bride, you want to say thank you to your guests with items that will be appreciated, remembered, and that ring true to the style of your day. From tiny little triple-pillow sachets wrapped in ribbon to fabulous gigantic diamond engagement ring napkin holders, London's WeddingFavours.ca has some of the cutest ideas for wedding favours, accessories, décor, and gifts that staff at The Ring have found to date. WeddingFavours.ca is more than just an online store. It is one company that seems destined to be a favourite internet (and local) shopping locale for brides.

The Ring sat down with Christine Rozon, owner and operator of WeddingFavours.ca, to get the inside scoop on what's in store for brides...

Personally speaking...

It was when Christine Rozon was making plans to walk down the aisle herself that she first had the chance to really experience what life is like for a bride who is shopping for favours, invitations, must-have accessories, and décor.

Even though there are millions of options out there for brides with a credit card, Christine found it more difficult than she expected to find wedding items that were unique, stylish, and at times, even easy to purchase. Local stores had options but many of the options were minimal, and most items were... click for full review

Wall-to-wall renovations and on-site wedding décor puts Maltese Club in the spotlight for upcoming London weddings

When a bride searches for a reception location, she has a mental wish list of criteria she wants to fill, from budget and menus to capacity and appearance. The staff and management at Maltese Canadian Club got our attention when they decided to completely renovate and upgrade their event centre, professionally decorate each space with ready-to-use wedding décor and essentially, rolled out the red carpet to London brides.

With a capacity of up to 250 guests and prices that are easy to love, Maltese Canadian Club has earned it's place in the spotlight and on your wedding invitation. Let us explain...

Personally speaking...

Maltese Canadian Club first opened its doors in 1987. Shortly thereafter they became a popular location for their members to hold weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and corporate parties.

In 2004, the club decided to take their service up to the next level by hiring a professional interior designer and undertaking wall-to-wall renovations. From a new ceiling and chandelier to freshly... click for full review

Advice Chat: Wedding Transportation For The Bridal Party

"How are you planning on handling the wedding transportation on the day of your wedding? Are you having your bridesmaids ride with the bride to the church in the limo (assuming you are getting a limo) and then having the groomsmen drive on their own? Any ideas, suggestions, plans already made or being made on the transportation of the wedding party?"

Advice Chat: Showers!

"My mom really wants to plan my shower because she has such great ideas for themes and stuff, but she says having the Mother plan it is tackie and people will think she is only doing it so her daughter gets gifts. Is this out of the Norm for the mother to plan one? My Bride's Maids will have one yes but two of the three girls are on the other side of my family (divorce) and the third is a friend so If they have one my Mom is worried about the other side of..."

We're Engaged!:

Magda and James

"Ok, so I've been on this site for a while and I think it's time that I post a bit about myself. James and I got engaged on August 14 2005, two weeks after I came back from a 6-week vacation in Poland (I guess he really missed me...lol). We've been together for almost 7 years. We're getting married on September 29, 2007 and I can't wait. We're using fall themed colours (shades of red and orange) if anyone has any ideas for decorations. I have planned quite a lot already. I have my dress picked out and almost all of the important things are booked (at least this way I get what I want)... Anyways, congratulations to all London brides and I look forward to chatting with you as we all plan our weddings..."
